Thoughts two days before the trip...

We need to keep going till the road ends, then walk a little. Arrive absolutely tired and broke, and that will be a life well spent. Give life a voice and make it a loud BOOM!

#1) 48 hours from now, I start on my dream journey, a solo road trip from Seattle to Key West Florida, on my motorcycle, covering 5,500 miles (8,850 km) in 15 days. Less freeways/hotels, more scenic byways/camping by lakes. I’ll go through national parks, wind mills, rivers, forests, villages & the best of scenarios in the BEAUTIFUL USA. This trip will be measured in wonders!

#2) I am so humbled and thankful to have this opportunity; it’s made possible by my wife, the purest heart in my world, the magic & creator in my life. मेरे रशके कमर, लड़ जाऊँगा, लेकिन तुझे हर वारी अपना बनाऊँगा :—))

#3) Sharon Bertolli, my health/running coach, without who I couldn’t have scaled hurdles and mountains, one of the strongest person I know, who completed Ironman Triathlons (swim 2.4 miles, cycle 112 mi, and run 26 mi), many marathons, helped many gain health, is now fighting a triple negative cancer that is harder to treat. To top the pain, insurance company declined coverage & among chemos, painful side effects, labs & huge bills, Sharon has 3 amazing kids. I believe where we put our money is a very personal matter, and I am sorry for the intrusion. I am sharing this with you for inspirations, and for your potential support.

Thoughts after the trip...

I learned that the best of the experiences in life lies on the other side of misery, problems and challenges. Soul therapy happens in mountains, by the lakes, rivers and oceans and in places where the road ends!

Feels GRReat!! feels humbled… 5,000 miles and 13 days went by in a flash. This trip was great, but at best is only a great memory... and memories do fade away... but the reflections and soul-talks along the way, never -

This trip is respect to my dad, who lives in my heart, and it is also an atomic size tribute to the expansive strength, love and kindness of my mother. Anything I have, is her giving… and I am grateful to have three strong loving sisters.. it’s so good to be the youngest 🙂 With them, I was born lucky

In this trip, I learned that there must be enough fire and fury in the heart to take on anything anytime but we must always kill with kindness.. kindness is hard, but it’s the weapon of the strong.. Hatred is slavery.. I learned that the greatest of life experiences are always on the other side of fear, challenges and miseries.. comfort leads to nowhere.. The soul therapy happens only in the mountains, by the lakes and in remote places where the road ends!

A thought about Bijli - She is an Indian Springfield 2017.. 850 lbs. and 1840 cc behemoth… 20,000 miles so far, ZERO repairs. She is an excellent example of American engineering. Indian is the first motorcycle company in USA, started in 1901.. it’s legacy, contributions during world wars, support to veterans… these all make me a proud rider, and Bijli, the hero!!

Hope I’ve put you to sleep by now, if not, I can see you gathering rocks to throw… 🤪.. two nights in Key West, all the seafood to eat and then fly home.
