Cascade Lake, ID to Jackson, WY. Day 2

A very good morning at the campsite, Sugerloaf campground, Lake Cascade State park, Idaho

Bijli, shiny and ready for the days and unknowns ahead

Scenic byway of Idaho! Well planned, and out of the world beautiful

When hungry, a hearty breakfast at a nice little cozy place feels like a blessing

Yours truly :-)

Met the two gentlemen. It really is a small world if you open up your heart. One of them, has been to my hometown in India and another is from the same town of my current residence in USA. They were headed to Nova Scotia, Canada! I felt I was riding on the shoulders of the giants

I managed to put my 850 lbs motorcycle on very soft shoulder. It was a hopeless situation until they arrived within minutes and towed me out of this mess. My prayers for their happiness. Such kind hearts!

Sawtooth, Idaho

Idaho is handcrafted, hand painted with purpose. Beauty that is beyond belief

Creaters of the moon monument, Idaho. I could only get to the visitor center. It was so windy and with the weather rolling in, I decided to keep moving towards my accommodation for the night in Wyoming

Little town near Idaho Wyoming border

Weather became scary on the way to Wyoming. No cover for miles, and no one in sight

Reached Jackson, Wyoming. I was very tired after a long day of riding and taking pictures every few minutes

Snake River Cabins & RV village. I got to stay in a campsite right next to Snake river!! I highly recommend this place for the location, cleanliness and the lovey and helpful staff

A beautfiful bridge in Jackson, Wyoming

My campsite for the night, right next to Snake river

Memories....

  • Beyond belief Idaho. Made me jealous! I want Washington to be the most beautiful :-)

  • Crater of the moon and the sudden change in weather... storm, wind and lightning!! A nice lady warned me not to proceed in such weather... but she did not know storms were what I was chasing! Going through storms makes memory, who remembers clear weather? I think it applies to both life and travel equally

  • Finding a soft shoulder and getting my motorcycle stuck in soft gravel. Hit a tree stump which narrowly missed my shin... lost all the power in the rear brake. The rest of the trip happened only with the front brakes!!! Sheer madness, but I can easily blame the beauty in nature

  • Got rescued from that hopeless spot by two kind hearts, who towed my motorcycle (and me) out of the ditch. Bless their souls! They were my gifts I got from the universe that day. And with the blessings of my family, it is hard for me to get hurt.

  • Got lost in my thoughts for a second, missed the turn sign and ended up taking a 30mph turn at 60 mph. It was hair-raising and scary. I took a time out after that turn, had some water, said my prayers and... moved on. Lucky me!

  • Covered Wildlife Canyon, Ponderosa Pine, Sawtooth and Peak to Craters scenic byways in Idaho

  • Meeting two gentlemen who were riding from WA state to Nova Scotia, Canada!! I felt I was riding on the shoulders of the giants. One of them, had been to my town in my country of birth and then also belonged to my current town of residence on USA. What a small world of big coincidences

  • Reaching my campsite and finding my campsite to be 10 ft away from the snake river, WY. Mesmerizing!
